ECLASS Reference Data Standard

ECLASS (old spelling eCl@ss) is a data standard for the classification of products and services using standardised ISO-compliant characteristics. The ECLASS standard enables the digital exchange of product master data across industries, countries, languages or organisations. Especially in ERP systems, its use as a standardised basis for a product group structure or with product-describing characteristics of master data is widespread.

As an ISO-compliant and the world s only feature-based classification standard, ECLASS also serves as the "language" for Industry 4.0 (IOTS).
