The ER-GB tapping tongs are suitable for taps according to DIN, ISO, ANSI and JIS standards. The tapping tongs without length compensation with internal square are used on machines equipped with the option for direct tapping. Spindle speed and feed rate are matched to each other in such a way that collet holders or collets with length compensation are only necessary to a limited extent to compensate for the feed rate difference. For such applications, we recommend the use of our Synchro tapping chucks, which correct small synchronisation errors of the machines. For machines without a tapping option, we recommend our tapping chucks with length compensation.
